This is a meta post, no insights here :D
Emotional intelligence is done! There are some potential posts brewing that touch on stuff that relates to that, but I felt I needed to introduce a base rather than saying "Please go read about EI and then come back".It all started back in April when I was speaking about our engineering culture in an all hands; I briefly mentioned Emotional Intelligence. I believe that during the lockdown, self-awareness and empathy are much more critical than ever.
The post required extensive research and comparing multiple sources. Hopefully, it doesn’t feel too much “pop science”. I think having written about it will help me explain concepts and provide feedback to others.
Aaand, that’s it.
Update on Nov 2020: We’re going through another lockdown, which again makes this very relevant.
