Digital Gardens

2 min read | Last Updated: July 25, 2020

I recently discovered the concept of digital gardens, and it resonates with me. We are continually learning and growing. Similarly, my website can do the same. The idea of a digital garden is that it’s a place where notes, ideas, thoughts can grow over time. I have a bunch of notes on keep, notion, etc. and drafts of possible posts. Those drafts keep evolving, and once one of the posts is “ready ready”, I edit it and publish it. Some posts might never get published because they won’t be “polished” enough. Why not? Nope.

From now on, some posts will have tags that will note that I see them growing (🌱 or 🌿). Some posts I will go back, some I won’t, and that’s OK.

This concept also inspired me to move from WordPress to a Gatsby powered blog-esque garden :D (Ah, the inevitable We must rewrite this from scratch).

  • 🌱- Seed
  • 🌿- Growing
  • 🌳- Grown
